I feel fortunate to have been a part of my group and this class and to have been able to work on this assignment. As a member of group 3, I think I could have done better and helped my group more but overall, I think I did pretty good with my part and feel like everyone else in my group did great. I feel like my group members, their presentations, and their performances were great. I can’t really think of anything wrong they did as they all had good contributions to the project and did amazing work with their slides and how they presented them. The way we as a group made the presentation I think highlights how important this topic is. I think everyone presented clearly and showed the importance of the topic we were presenting. Of course, there is always room for improvement, and we should strive to create even better presentations in the future. This doesn’t just extend to our presentations; however, we could also have better communication and teamwork moving forward but overall, I’m pleased with our presentation and the role everyone played in putting it together. Aside from that, I also liked the topic of our presentation which was about paying it forward. In essence, it was about how simple acts of kindness can go a long way and inspire others to be kind as well. This can be anything from gifts, to paying for someone else’s things out of kindness, to even simple gestures like holding the door open for someone or striking up a conversation with someone who looks down. This can in turn inspire others to do the same as they’ll feel positive feeling they received and want to share it and spread it amongst others which can inspire even more people. It’s through acts of kindness like these that people can have a positive impact on those around them and inspire others to do the same. I feel like that’s a very powerful message and one that resonates with me as well, so I feel that having worked on a presentation about it was a pretty great thing. I truly do believe in that message and in how we can inspire others to be kinder and make a real change for the better.
Group 2’s presentation
was about healthy eating and diet. They essentially explained how to have a
healthy way of eating, the history of diets, selecting foods, and much more.
Healthy eating basically means eating a well-balanced diet that gives your body
the proper nutrients and ingredients to maintain itself healthily. This however
is about more than just eating certain foods. It’s also eating a nutritious,
well-balanced diet along with, preparing meals, and being aware of what we eat and
the relationship between the foods we eat and our general well-being and how
this can affect our day to day lives. This goes to show that healthy eating isn’t
just about maintaining eating the best foods in the right combination it’s also
about how we live life and how it can impact our mental health as well. Mental
health and eating are very interconnected which is shown by how there are many
mental illnesses and behavioral patterns associated with unhealthy eating and
how those illnesses and patterns could further exacerbate such unhealthy
behavior. This can result in physical illness as well with conditions like obesity
or diabetes. However, as unhealthy eating has its downsides, eating healthy has
its upsides. Healthy eating can have a great impact on mental well-being and
turn people’s lives around especially those which previously had unhealthy
eating patterns. Overall, I think the message of group 2’s presentation was
very impactful as it promoted a healthy lifestyle and showed how eating right
could really improve the quality of life of those who chose to do it. It was
well put together with all the information presented and formatted in a way
that made it interesting. The way the group presented this information was
great as well. They had a lot of enthusiasm behind their presentation, and it
showed through how much exposition they gave and how naturally they presented
it. It felt like they truly did their best with the presentation, and it showed
in how they talked about it. They also included some personal experiences as
well while presented which just elevated their presentation even further making
for a pretty interesting presentation on healthy eating.
Group 1’s
presentation was on self-care which is the steps people take towards improving
and maintaining their personal mental, emotional, and physical health. It’s
through this that routines and actions are taken which can help in preventing
emotional and physical distress later down the line and improve the daily lives
of those who partake in it. These routines and actions can differ depending on
who is working towards them and their personal goals and beliefs, however, all self-care
at the end of the day works towards the same fundamental goals of physical,
mental, and emotional well-being. Self-care can include things like partaking
in physical activity, eating right, and maintaining your health. Through this,
it becomes evident that self-care is necessary to achieve long term success and
move towards your goals. Maintaining yourself is one of the very most
fundamental and necessary things you can do to be successful as it helps
improve your self-image and can raise your self-esteem. Self-care when looked at
this way exemplifies how the implementation of it into our daily lives can lead
to a more productive, uplifted, and happier society. Self-care can truly have a
great impact on how other people live their lives. This in itself can cause
others to change as well and take care of themselves. Overall, though, I feel
like group 1 presented this topic well and had a well put together presentation.
Their presentation highlighted how positive self-care can be and why everyone
should partake in it. I feel like they presented it highlighted their passion
on the subject and how it can have an impact on people.
