Chris Moya - Post 2

The second Group of projects was finally done. Like the first one there were three groups with a different theme each. Group 1's theme was self care, Group  2's was about having a healthy diet and Group 3's, my group was about paying it forward. My group had the chance to be the first ones to present this time so I'm going to talk about it first.

Me and my partners in Group 3 had the chance to work in the themed project for paying it forward. Paying it forward means that instead of "paying back" the kindness one person showed you, you "pay it forward" by showing that kindness to other people. Before I started this project I had never heard about paying it forward before, so this was a good opportunity to learn about it. I really liked the idea of paying it forward, so I'm happy I got to do this presentation. The concept of instead of paying kindness back to whoever gave it first, you spread it to other people and inspire them to give it to other people is great. I feel like it helps kindness reach other people who need it more instead of keeping in a closed group. The movie added to this feeling too. The project itself went very well, my group did a wonderful job making the presentation and keeping everything organized, even though some people couldn't do their part on time, I feel like we still managed to show good results. There were some problems with communication along the way, but we managed to surpass them, and we have become better at it. On the day of the presentation, we all did great. I feel like I could have done a better job talking about my part though. My teammates all did a good job on their part of their part of the presentation. Overall I'm very satisfied with my and my group's work, even though there were some hiccups along the way, we learned from them, and I feel like this was a good experience that I will make use of in the future.

The second Group to present this time was Group 2 again. The theme for their presentation was healthy eating habits. I was looking forward to this presentation because I am someone who does not pay a lot of attention to what I eat, so I felt this was a good option to learn about balanced diets and what better eating habits you can have. Groups 2 did a very good job on their presentation. Their project was very cohesive, like only one person had worked on it. They also answered a lot of questions I had about diets and backed up their information with reliable data. Something that surprised me about this presentation was the effects healthy eating habits could have on something that is not necessarily connected to physical health, like mental health. I was not aware that taking care of what you eat could have that much of a positive effect on your mental well being.

The last group to present was Group 1 and their presentation was on self care. Self care is something I have heard a lot about, but I never really paid much attention to it. A lot of people talk about it but I always felt like it was something really vague so I could never dedicate myself to it so I didn't really know how I would feel about this presentation. Group 1 managed to interest me though. Their presentation was amazing even though they didn't have many people. They had a lot of sources for their information and all of it was presented very clearly it. Not only that, they even had interviews about what self care meant to the people around them. They all presented very well too. They managed to present really clearly that self care was and how to practice it. They even gave examples of how we can apply self care to our day to day lives. It was very impressive.

Overall I think all of the groups did a very good job with all of the presentations. They were all unique in their own. They also managed to present their themes and ideas very well, so that anybody could understand it.
