Group 1:, They were the last group to present this time around. Group 1 is a very small group but their presentation and study guide overall came out good. When they presented their study guide they really had me bored out and it was kind of hard for me to concentrate on what they were saying. For the study guide they basically just read everything I read from the board which is why it was hard for me to concentrate. Everyone in the group didn't use their presentation voice, they were all very monotone. No eye contact was made to the audience. When it came to presenting their themed presentation, they had to do it through Zoom and I feel like they did better than if they would've done it in person. I feel like they had a little bit more confidence this time around and they also gave really good information. This, again, was a very small group and they did everything in their power to do the best they could do. I'm very prod of them for the work they did. They pulled through...

The concept of self-care has become increasingly prominent in today's fast-paced and demanding world. Recognizing its significance, the group embarked on a journey to create a comprehensive self-care presentation. This endeavor aimed not only to deepen our understanding of self-care but also to foster a collective commitment to well-being within our classmates. The self-care presentation was meticulously crafted, encompassing various facets of physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Each member of the group played a vital role in researching and presenting specific aspects of self-care, ensuring a well-rounded and informative session. From the importance of adequate sleep to mindfulness techniques, the presentation covered a spectrum of strategies aimed at nurturing the holistic health of individuals. The group's collaborative efforts were evident in the seamless integration of diverse perspectives and insights. They recognized the need to address the individualized nature ...

SPC 1017 8:00am class Group 1: This group had assigned Selfcare. I think that in contrast with last presentation, group two had the ability to have more time to prepare and organize their ideas and delegating responsibilities. They were able by being a smaller group compared to group three to give a way better presentation that the last one, improving their confidence and public speaking skills while working on the past red flags that they had as a group. Regardless of the normal public speaking anxiety I think they were able to manage themselves and express the importance of self care. For example they divide the term of self care in other smaller subtopics related as for example the importance of mental health awareness, and how we have to fight against the stigma to promote more mental health self care. As also exposing different resources in which the audience could use as a tool to take care of their mental health self care. Additionally, they talked about the importance of b...

The second Group of projects was finally done. Like the first one there were three groups with a different theme each. Group 1's theme was self care, Group  2's was about having a healthy diet and Group 3's, my group was about paying it forward. My group had the chance to be the first ones to present this time so I'm going to talk about it first. Me and my partners in Group 3 had the chance to work in the themed project for paying it forward. Paying it forward means that instead of "paying back" the kindness one person showed you, you "pay it forward" by showing that kindness to other people. Before I started this project I had never heard about paying it forward before, so this was a good opportunity to learn about it. I really liked the idea of paying it forward, so I'm happy I got to do this presentation. The concept of instead of paying kindness back to whoever gave it first, you spread it to other people and inspire them to give it to other...

Thoughts on paying forward     Paying it forward is such a simple thing that anyone can do. With just a smile on your face and a small interaction, you can make someone’s day. You can help someone with a task, either with a com pliment or a physical deed like helping them carry something heavy or even giving a homeless person food. These are all ways you can help someone and encourage them to continue paying it forward. Slowly but surely, paying it forward can make a huge difference in society and towards the world.     Theme presentations   In this last chapter assignment, my p rofessor , Sherri Sinkoff , assign ed our grou ps with various themes which really help you become a better person and create better habits for yourself. Group 1 was given the theme of self-ca re. Group 2 was given the theme of eating healthy and Group 3 was given the theme of paying it forward, which belonged to my group. Diving into these topics really make you start questio...
