Feedback on Group Presentations

Writing about the other groups and the great work they put in reminds me of the first week of this class. The first week I didn't know what to expect really but I was caught completely off guard when I realized there was a presentation and it was due in a few weeks. I instantly began to feel the stress and anxiety that comes with not knowing if I will do well. Thankfully, my group had amazing leadership in people like Juan, and Nicole just to name a few. These leaders helped tremendously and also made it easy to get my slides done and prepare my presentation. This took the headache away and relieved me of the stress completely. Thank you group 3 firstly for the great leadership and also for a smooth and in my opinion great learning experience on the subject of presentations, and leadership. A special thank you to Joseph from group one, he did extremely well presenting and also gave some kind words of advice that helped in my presentation.

Group 1- This group did extremely well presenting and was the best in my opinion there was one person that stood out to me the most and his name was Joseph. Joseph projected his voice like no one else did, and spoke to the class with extreme confidence and understanding in the subject in which he was presenting. So much so that when I saw him the next day I took a moment to ask him what his trick to speaking so well in front of the class was. He answered simply, "There is no trick, I prepared a presentation then practiced and presents" Said Joseph. So through Joseph's example (He presented before me and I was able to take after his confidence and recreate this above average presentation) I went up there and in my opinion killed it, I was so proud of myself that even after class I couldn't stop thinking about the great job I did. This is thanks in part to Group one and especially Joseph for his great advice and stellar presentation. The reason why this group came across as great to me was not the presentation slides of the fancy pictures on them, It was the clear presenting and the great amount of work that must've been put into that presentation. Group one Taught me that in order to have a great presentation I must go up there with great confidence. This lesson that I learned from watching and interacting with group one helped me with my own presentation and will also help me with future presentations as well.

Group 2- First off, from the moment Group two started it was clear that they put an extreme amount of effort into their presentation and I commend them for that. This leads me to believe that the leadership in group two must've been exceptional for their presentation to be perceived as such. The presentation was clear and effective, I gained a bit of an understanding of the subject in which they were presenting and this is to be expected when the first thing that caught my attention was the amount of work put into the presentation slides itself. The structure of this presentation held up greatly and is due impart to the team communication that had to be the reason why this group executed so well. This reflects directly onto the leadership, and teamwork of the group and also shows me what I need more of in my group. Group one showed me that what my group needs more of is teamwork and communication among peers. The group leadership stood out to me and it did because of the visible amount of effort put into the slides. I could tell that they worked together as a team because I could see the chemistry between them when they walked up there to present. I could also tell that the group worked together because of the way that they were all on the same page and it had a sense of structure to it, one that wound not have came about if every one just put a slide together and just called it a group presentation.  All in all, Group two did a fantastic job and made me think of ways that I could get my group together and adopt some leadership skills in order to advance and further empower my group.

Group 3- Lastly Group 3, the group I had the pleasure of being in. My group was on it, from the moment our group leader created the powerpoint to the final revisions and conversations we had before the presentation this was a masterpiece. I feel like our leadership was great and we had some strong leaders people like Juan and Nicole helped to lead the group in the right direction and made sure that everyone was on the same. Our leaders would put our needs before theirs and help out in any way they could when I needed guidance and wasn't sure what part I wanted to present a group member helped me make that decision. Other then the leadership there was something else about my group that stood out and it was our clear and confident delivery. I think Juan is a great example of an above average leader and presenter, before the slides were dont he made sure everyone understood their roles and delivered and after that when he was the one in front of the podium giving his presentation he delivered a clear and concise presentation on leadership. These are some of the reasons my group was great but i'm obviously biased because I also got to present for my group. With Josephs advice, the leadership of Juan and Nicole, and the cooperation of my group I was able to go up to the podium with complete confidence. Knowing exactly what I wanted to say I delivered a great presentation due in part to my classmates and learning from all other groups and presenters. I think this activity taught me about presenting, learning to work together in a group setting, and definitely about leadership. Leadership being the main point in out groups presentation.
